Content Marketing Tips
University
Okay – I stretched this one but there is always something new to consider in content marketing and an amazingly rich set of voices with powerful ideas. The BEST of these are contained within the pages of the Content Marketing Institute. And although they weren’t kind enough to use “University” and make this easy for me, I couldn’t finish this series without highlighting this amazing resource. Their daily newsletter is one I read EVERY day.
Video
According to Forbes Insights, 75% of executives surveyed said they watch work-related videos on business-related websites at least weekly. For the letter V – let’s consider video to be all forms of moving images – including animation, whiteboard animation, screen casting and the more traditional video. Business videos – whatever form – don’t have to be dry. Answer frequently asked questions, interview a customer or partner or even better – an expert on your business, create video case studies, or develop summaries of your whitepapers. Keep your videos short (under 2 minutes is great.) Have an expert available? Film 15-20 minutes and break it into a series. Ready to get serious about video marketing? Webinars
In line with videos, webinars are a powerful form of content that you are most likely already doing. Extend your efforts by recording all webinars and making them available in your library. Use your webinar tools as well to record SHORT webinars (15 minutes and under). As with other forms of content, don’t forget to promote your webinars via blogs, social media, on your website, and in your e-newsletters.
