I woke up this morning full of the joys of life – feeling completely jazzed about life and wondering what big bold hairy goal I was going to set and who was going to be affected by it. Normally it’s just me and my poor family who have to put up with my craziness – from running adventures to outrunning elephants but this time I thought I’d share the love with my dear colleagues.
Here at The Partner Marketing Group we have a lot of fun, energy and zest for living but being a remote team we don’t often get to share in each other’s successes or lives. Meet Barb Pfeiffer … Barb has many qualities that I wish I had, in fact I ‘sometimes’ hope I will be like her when I grow up. She loves to create great, valuable content and she is the constant source of blog topics for me. During team meetings, as I’m rambling along, she’ll sum it up by saying ‘Cheryl, you should write a blog about that’ in her fun New Jersey fashion – direct and to the point! So I have taken that advice to heart and set myself a goal of 31 blogs in 31 days – mainly to prove to myself that I can do it and to put myself in the shoes of my ERP and CRM clients who are always on the receiving end of the ‘Where is your blog for this week?’ question from me.
So having set that goal, I implicitly involved Michelle Glennie, our Operations Manager, whose task it will now be to source all the graphics, organize all the posting and socialize everything … (okay, I’ll help with that too because after all she never signed up for this and maybe this will stop her nagging). Involved too will be el Presidente, as I like to call her, Cheryl Strege who no doubt is going to have a merry time with her red pen editing all my work. The point being, and this is well known among my colleagues, is that I am not the world’s best writer but I do have a lot to say – which I think is quite a valuable talent but having a great editor in your back pocket is a tremendous asset!
As with any organization, we often find ourselves in the situation that we have been so busy helping our clients with executing their marketing that we have sometimes neglected our own. So before we get all ‘preachy’ with you we thought we should set our own house in order. This series of blogs will cover a myriad of marketing topics, tips and tricks that we hope you find useful and educational.
As always, if you need any marketing assistance, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Just because its summer time, doesn’t mean you should take your foot off the (marketing) gas – more about that in my next blog.
